Isn’t it great being part of an aviation community where RV expertise and tool sharing is a short walk to another RV owner/builder hangar. I had “Another” Nose gear flat on my RV-7A at Tucson IAP. Frustrated yes, but fix was too easy. My T-Hangar literally backs up to Paul Merems, CEO of WWW.ExperimentalAero.Com and inventor of the DRDT-2 and now the TBBT-2 (Tire Bead Breaker Tool). For years Paul has been kind enough to share his RV builder/design expertise with other RV pilots as well as many of the quality and unique tools he’s accumulated and/or designed. It was a short walk to his hanger and in roughly 97 seconds, I was walking back out with my nose tire free from the grips of the nose wheel. Thanks Paul and the TBBT-2 works awesome! And Thanks also to all the other Pauls out there who give of their Time, Talents, and Tools to make the RV hobby such a great and enjoyable experience.
