Any RV-12 Lightspeed Zulu 2 owners out there who can advise:

1. Coiled or non-coiled cord?

2. Does the RV-12 standard intercom (Flightcom 430) provide power for headsets? So can you order the unpowered or should you go for the battery powered version of the Zulu?

Have an older Telex ANR I am planning on trading in as I step back into GA here, so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Will try - -

Have NON-coiled, so don't know. IC does not power headsets. Batteries last a long time. I carry a couple extra all the time.

LEMO powered

I have both internal power (pilot) and battery power (passenger) Zulu 2 with straight cords. I just added the LEMO jack along with the standard for the pilot side. So I could switch out if needed.

If you want to use the power you will need to change the plug to a LEMO powered plug or add as I did. Since you are still building I think you will need to stay with the standard plans, unless you are building experimental.
