Did anyone come away with a better understanding of LED for seeing with vs. being seen, where LEDs really shine. I couldn't get a very good feel for the LED output on the ceiling of the hangar in daylight. Unfortunately the ones that seemed to have the most lighting power (in one of the three units used by the industry...) and fit my installation, were not focussed for landing but wide spread for taxi-like conditions, or night crop dusting...
Also didn't see any working vendor displays for metal halide or halogen. My current PAR 36 $12 GE special is so useless I leave it off and am looking forward to seeing the runway for a change....![Roll eyes  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Which light really puts out the best night landing illumination per the latest information?
Thanks!!
