IMHO, It has been my experience that the o-ring get deformed by excessive heat. You might want to look at your braking habits.
I bought them used, they came off an 80's RV-4, maybe 1000 landings by now and there's just no way around scrubbing some on taxi.

I USE A VITON O-RINGS AND CLEAN UP THE CYL. WITH SCOTCH-BRITE PAD.
VITON RUBBER CAN TAKE MORE HEAT. 1/8 X 1 1/4 INCH I THINK. TAKE THE OLD ONES WITH YOU TO A BEARING SHOP. CHEEP.
