I am working ahead a little bit and was trying to fit the landing gear mounts. They won't fit in place, apparently because of interference br the F-982 cover support ribs. Is it necessary to remove those ribs in order to get the landing gear mount fitted?

I unbolted mine from the center section to make installing the gear mount easier. When I reinstalled them, I had to notch them to clear one of the mount's "legs".

Dummy me riveted in the danged support ribs to the spar early on. At least drilling them out is not a huge deal. Now the gear mounts slips right in.
