I recall reading a post here that recommeded a particular substance be used on the bare metal parts of the landing gear that fit into the metal sockets of the mounts. The purpose is to prevent the bare metal from rusting.

I can't recall the name of the substance and a search of the archives does not turn it up.

Does anyone know the name of that substance?

uhhh huh huh

i call it grease,:D however someone may have mentioned cosmoline. like they store guns in and bury all over the middle east. you could paint where the gear is not touching the socket and just lube the machine spots where it does. ymmv

Brayco 137 corrosion inhibitor??

This may be what you need, saw it listed for installing wing attach and center section? Actually name is Braycote 137!!

take care, greg
