I just completed my landing gear installation (final) and thought I'd through out a tip I think would make this much easier for the next guy.

After you get done aligning and drilling all the holes for the main gear legs and get to the point in the plans where you disassemble everything for later when you are ready for the final installation - I recommend you remove the gear legs but reinstall the wear plates and U-channel retaining blocks with all the correct hardware (but leave only finger tight). This will do two things for you - you will have all your hardware and you will not fight to get those washers and nuts on the bolts inside the gear towers after all the fuel and wiring is done. It will be simple to then slide the gear legs on and torque the nuts down. Wish I had done this...
