My wife's good friend Kathy succumbed to cancer today after a 22 year battle (she was 64). On November 10, 2014, I had the honor of giving her a flight in our family’s RV-6, the first and only time she ever took the controls of a plane. A 'bucket list' entry for both of us. She drove me around for an entire hour, getting the hang of it after a few minutes.
Earlier this month she attended a lunch gathering at Gary Platner's hangar, and we got to see her laugh a few times.
We've been kicked in the gut, and we miss our friend.
Please keep Kathy, her family and friends in your prayers.
Rest in Peace dear, dear Kathy.
