I finished building my grass strip in Florida back in 08'. After 8 years I had finally convinced the FAA to show my strip on the charts. For a few years they said the chart was too crowded in that area to be able to place. Well.... Fast forward to early 2015, after talking to a person that works in the chart department of the FAA, I did the unthinkable! He mentioned that he was coming to Disney with his family and I offered to show him why I felt 52FA needed to be shown on the sectional. After a 1 hour flight in the Rocket with a near perfect landing at Bent Willies air park, he said he would look further into my request
Runway is now 2100 feet long and has a nice long curve in it , hence its name "Bent Willie". Never thought they would actually print it. Maybe that's why they hesitated to put it on the charts before. It's amazing what a rocket ride will do!
