I'm getting to the stage of working on the forward deck and the ribs behind the panel are in the right in the middle of where I plan to fit my Garmin G3X Touch screens.

Before I start cutting up ribs, does anyone know if Van's has created any OP drawings and possibly some alternative ribs for the sub panel assembly area to accommodate the Garmins/Dynons at all?
 
Abe,
I installed a G3X and did not have to touch the ribs assuming you are building a slider. It was very close but did not cut those ribs, here's a pic:

Choice

I chose to trim my ribs to allow the screens to be as high up as possible with a center stack of radios.
Even with trimmed ribs, i could not put rocker switches underneath screens, only toggles. I wanted rockers because they can be backlit.
All things are possible with an extended panel thou.
