Anybody know if the Sherwin Williams GBP-988 primer is OK for high temp spots? I'm thinking of using it to prime the angle parts of the baffles.

Thanks,
Dave

I just went and looked on the can, and there is no mention whatsoever about heat durability. You might try contacting SW directly and asking somebody that question.

I do have a spray can of plain ol' Zinc Chromate, and it does say heat resistant to 250 degrees. Don't know if 988 is similar or not, but I'm guessing that resistance to heat is beyond its' design purpose.

Dave--
I was just down at Napa yesterday and noticed they have a number of different types of high-temp primer that may work and might give you greater peace of mind. A friend of mine used some on the induction tubes of his 0-360, but hasn't run it long enough to give you a thumbs up/down. Good luck.
