Here's my Ipad mounting solution. The mount tucks away under the panel when not in use, and pivots forward for use. Low in my field of view to keep the sun off it (and in focus with my progressives).

Cool!

Kind of gives it an Fighter type of feel with the computer in the center. Nice work. Not sure how I plan to install the ipad in my -8 yet.

Stick travel

The stick hits the Ipad at the end of travel. It would push the mount out of the way. Displacing the stick this far forward in flight would be exciting. Definitely wouldn't want the Ipad in place durring aerobatics I suppose.
