I am considering purchasing an IPad and using Foreflight. A freind of mine has this system on an IPad 2, but it was difficult to view in the cockpit due to glare, glasses, and direct sunlight.

Is the screen technology that is coming out on the new IPad 3 likely to make the problems of viewing the screen in sunlight go away?

We should get some first pireps after next weekend since deliveries of iPad 3 are scheduled for next Friday. But they are still some else's opinion, you need to see one yourself. I have been very pleased with the iPad 2 in both my 7 & 10, but you can find a lot of others that do not agree with that opinion.
