Let me join the party (there are a number of control cable threads this week). I would like some verification as to the correct length of prop, mix and throttle cables given the following configurations:
RV8
IO-390
AFP fwd facing servo
Van?s Deluxe control Quad
MT prop gov with Van?s bracket clocked at the six position.

I?ll affix the cable restraint fitting on the bottom of the oil sump in line with the AFP levers.

I measured ~70? for the prop cable and 55? each for the mix and throttle.

If any of you have a similar configuration I?d like to compare notes. I?ve grown tired of the following drill: Order from Van?s; return to Van?s; reorder from Van?s; return to Van?s; get someone who can read a measuring device; reorder from Van?s?.

Engine Control Cable lengths

Not certain of the differences, if any, but I have the ECi XIO-360 (horizontal induction and Titan fuel injection) on an RV-8 and the deluxe three lever quadrant. I have manufactured the throttle bracket and the prop bracket for the PCUX5000 governor. The mixture bracket is from Attaway Air.

My cable lengths are : Throttle 55" (just right but none to spare), Mixture 55", and prop 44".
