Somebody I know is building RV8 overseas. He asked me to order flop tubes for inverted fuel pick up but he didn't specified how long. I mined several builders websites with no results.

Curious what lengths are RV8 builders using? Is it a good idea to use flop tubes on both tanks? Pardon my ignorance, I am flying 9A and know nothing about aerobatics. :)

The cross section of the fuel tanks on the RV-4, -6, -7, and -8 are all the same. They should all use the same length flop tube. The RV-3 is the only one that's different. The -3 flop tube would be shorter.
Most people install a flop tube in one tank only and use that tank for aerobatics.

Van's price is almost 1/2 that of ACS price at $38. Van's P/N IF-4/6

Vlad:

I'd go with Vans. That's what I put in my RV-8. Made to fit!:D
