I've been spying here for a while so I thought I would introduce myself.

I am the guy that built the die cast tool that most of your gas caps were molded from. Not my cap design, I just built the molds. I'm not sure if they are still using the tools I built, maybe not.

I have been around Van's RVs for years and have worked on various parts over the years. Prototypes and such...Hillsboro OR area.

I have been rebuilding an RV6A I purchaced over a year ago. It has had a rough life and needs many improvements before I would consider it safe to fly. I disassembled it and hauled it home. It has a couple hundred hours on it and a airworthiness certificate. I knew it had problems and the price reflected that and has made a great project.

It is incredible how much there is to learn about these planes and this group has been wonderful. Thanks to all that post detailed information with the intent to help others!

I'm self employed now (machine shop). I just made a bracket for the gascolator. Thought I would show it here.
