I've been leathering my whole interior using Weldwood contact cement. Works good. Saddlemakers glue is good too (Barg's leather cement)

Try...

...3M Super Weatherstrip adhesive from your auto parts store.

In aerosol form, this works well - 3M? Super Trim Adhesive, 08090 - and may be a HD stock under the #90 number.

Airtex Contact cement is really good, and seems a little better than the HD stuff, but is expensive due to Hazardous shipping charges - it is designed for aircraft interiors.

Stay away from the eco-friendly water based contact cements....:)
