For anyone owning their own airstrip/aerodrome, a couple of questions for you:

Do you have insurance on the property in the event of an accident/mishap?

If so, what companies in Canada offer such insurance?

If not, are you getting waivers completed prior to anyone using/flying in and out of your strip?

I tried to insure my private airstrip and my insurance provider for my house would not entertain it. The property is a secondary property with a house on it as well.

Looking for options based on experience.

Thanks

Don

I have liability insurance that I get through Air Capitol. I do not know if they insure in Canada or not. In New Jersey, where I live, waivers are worthless so I do not bother.
