I'm wanting to change out my airspeed indicator and the upper right screw has a little whelen light in the hole where the screw would be. I looked at them on A/C Spruce to try and see how they were made so I could figure out how to remove it. So far I haven't had any luck. It looks like a hex shaped nylon nut on the back side with a wire through the middle of it. Not sure what size wrench would fit it and whatever I get on it there's not room to turn it. If it were a tip-up it might would be easier.

Anyone have an exploded view of these lights?

You can usually unscrew the electrical connection by hand (the plastic part with the wire), you can then unscrew the lamp assy from the front of the panel holding the nut from behind with your fingers. If it's really tight then this method may not work. I believe they are 1/4".

Panel Light

Couldn't get it with my fingers and couldn't get a 1/4 wrench to work. When I could get a wrench on it there wasn't room to turn it. I'll try some pliers tomorrow.
