Any of you 8A builders out there have some good advise on the timing of the installation of the step. My canoe is upside down for the front bottoms skins and it seems to be a good time.

I guess that you could do it now, but I did mine long after I flipped the canoe with no problems. I riveted it on at the same time that I riveted the aft top deck skin.
Before I installed the step I had a notch cut into it for the rudder cable to run through. Just something to think about. My fuselage was quick built, and had no problem install right side up.
