Dave, save yourself some grief and re-locate that oil pressure sender. mine lasted 40 hours there.

Not harder

Tempted, but there's that whole E-LSA thing. Will it be much harder to do later?

Not harder to do later at all. Some of us Dynon D-180 panel builders mounted the relocated oil sensor on the same firewall screw that the fuel pressure sensor mounts on:

The one difference is that you, as a Skyviewer, will have to come up with a different way to mount the relocated oil pressure sensor since the new fuel pressure sensor which will come with the new avionics is mounted on a bracket on that screw.

I mounted mine with an Adel clamp bolted to the left side of the antenna mount. The hose was actually a bit short to mount it like Tony's. I am not trying to corrupt you, but I don't know if the inspector would say anything at all. It is clearly a superior application. Just sayin'
