In an older RV4 I have some nut plates that are inaccessible and stripped.
Screw will not grab. Removing the nut plate not possible.
What to do?

Drill and tap to a very slightly larger size? Otherwise, you need to drill it out, and find a way to get another one in there with a magnet, for example.

Hey John,

Here's a trick I use. Run a piece of wire (I use 20g) through the center hole to the nearest inspection hole or other handy opening. Run it through the center of the nutplate and tie a knot in it. Now you can pull/wiggle it to it's mounting place. If you need to align the rivet holes, simply twist the wire until they line up. Put a cleco in one to hold it until you can secure the other side with a pulled rivet.

Now and then I find that there's no handy nearby hole. In those situations I'll drill a small hole in a location covered by a fairing.

You should be able to secure the new nutplates with MK319-BS blind rivets.
