I'm looking for a full Garmin 650 or 750 panel G3x RV to get an IPC checkout in. I'd expect to travel to the location and spend two or three days and a few dollars. I'm a CFII but haven't kept my currency up. I have an RV9 in the final stages with a G3x and 625 so I'd like to get time in a similar setup to do my refresher training.

Most of the instrument flight training facilities I've seen with glass panels are older Garmin units in 172s. If I'm going to spend the time and money I'd like to get some experience with the equipment I'll be flying with.

I can't even find and facilities with simulators using 650s or 750s.

Thanks for any pointers, Steve

What you are looking for is a really good friend, since it is against the law for an EAB owner to receive any compensation for the use of his airplane. That said, IMHO, take the IPC in any conventional airplane. Then spend 10 hours on Garmin's web site with their 650 simulator. It's much better to learn the button pushing in the comfort of your house. If you're familiar with the 530/430 series, the general software flow is similar.
