.....and he has a little bigger smile than normal, it might be because his progeny, N164MS, will turn 20 tomorrow. Mike took Mikey up for his first flight on April 10, 1990.

Mike tells me that he now has nearly 11,000 hours of RV time since that day....800 hours in the last year! Mike can borrow Mikey's keys any time!

As for Mikey, he plans to celebrate passing his teenage years by flying over to a local grass field tomorrow and share stories and good times with a bunch of other cool planes while Paul and I eat crawfish (and pilot fellowship).

When Mikey first flew I was still an awkward 13 year old kid in middle school -- watching airplanes in the pattern at RMG over my house and wishing that one day, some how I would have an airplane where I would be able to do that too.

Does Mikey still sport his original paint?

A good paint job lasts!

Does Mikey still sport his original paint?

You bet that I do. Dad and an auto-painting neighbor (as I recall) did it at home and they did a fabulous job. People still tell me how handsome I am. Don't you agree?
