Hello all,

At work, I am in the beginning phases of developing an experimental device that would hang off the wing strut of a 172/182. We know how to do all the electronics, internal hardware and software, but we need to find someone who can give advice about the mechanical and aerodynamic interfaces to the aircraft. Are there any engineers out there who are in this line of work and who would be up to helping us develop this device (and I am being rather vague about what it is, competition, you know) and do the regulatory work to get an STC for it?

Thanks

Real work (but we are very earlly in the process)

Yes, this would be real work that we would pay for. I am looking for an engineer qualified to participate with us through the mechanical and aerodynamic aspects of our new "device".

From the experience I have building my RV I am sure I could figure out how to build an aluminum pod to house and carry our electronics... but I don't have the engineering background to be able to convince the FAA to issue an STC. That's the talent I am looking for.

And thanks for the answers so far.
