I primed my RV-8 wing ribs today. I had a two part PTI epoxy, made two quarts total. I painted about 20 ribs and the rear spars before running out of primer. Does that seem right? It didn't seem like much paint was ending up on the paint table. Having a hard time getting the HVLP paint gun calibrated properly.

I used about one quart to prime all the empennage kit exterior surface - tail, rudder, vert and horz stabilizers. I put two coats on and had a bit left in the cup. If you used two quarts on 20 ribs, you will be adding quite a bit of weight to your plane by the time you are done.
