I have a Commant CI-119 Antenna that I am installing on the belly of my RV-6A. It is sitting about 1' aft of the Gear leg attach point. It has about a foot of ground clearance with the fuse tipped back in a tail dragger stance. It's a little higher in tricycle stance.

I am wondering how much the gear legs can flex on a hard landing. Is 1' of clearance adequate? I can't imagine them bending enough to lose a foot of ground clearance.

Thanks for the assistance here.

If your main gear flexes that much, you will have more problems than the antenna dragging.

Look at it this way. If you strike that antenna you will have to replace it which will not take long. It will not be a short day though....as you'll be replacing the prop and doing an engine tear down as well. Build on....a foot is equal to a yard in this case.
