...in your airplanes? Specifically, the -10's, because I was curious whether or not they're hotter than 126F after sitting in the sun for several hours with OAT's near 100F, doors lowered but not latched.

I also wonder if they wouldn't be cooler with the cover over the cabin....anyone know?

126F seems to be the limit for the HS-34s....reason for the question,

Pierre, they do get much hotter in the Georgia sun without the cover on. If I am going to be parked for a while, I either put the cabin cover on if I am leaving the airplane, or I use the automobile windshield silver reflector screens and leave the door opens. It makes for a huge difference.

Interesting question

I had my RV-7A parked on the ramp at McCollum Field (KRYY) over the weekend. When I went to get out my GATS jar to sump the fuel it had a configuration worthy of the Salvador Dali museum. Still worked, just a little out of shape.
