Whipping up a replacement smoke tank. 12.5"x12.5"x8.25" HDPE tank.
Want to put a flop tube in it. I am using a -6 AN bulkhead fitting, with -6 AN steel braid over nitrile for the oil outlet, to pump, and thence to hard line with a quick disconnect fitting.
I was thinking of mounting the bulkhead fitting halfway up the tank wall (8.25" high) with a 90 degree swivel fitting inside, and then a length of -6 hose long enough to reach the top (bottom) of the tank. I would safety a hunk of lead to the end, or cast a piece to fit something.
Not interested in spend $80 for the brass fuel tank flop tube and weight.
