Is it acceptable to use a regular stainless hoseclamp over firesleeve? It is for a short section of rigid fuel line between two devices on the firewall (flex line is connected to the engine). I wanted to slip some firesleeve over it, but don't konw whether a "real" clamp is needed.

Safety Locking Wire?

If you are just looking to secure the firesleeve then how about a twist of Safety Locking Wire at each end.

Stainless Steel TyWrap

HomeDepot/Lowes has a stainless steel tywrap that looks nice on firesleeve.

Hose clamps are quite acceptable, as is safety wire. I used a double wrap (twice around before twisting) to secure mine. EAA has a video on it if I recall correctly.
