Hi All,
I'm in the process of working on the baffling and ran into to a small problem. I have a Superior IO-360 180 Horse horizontal engine, when tried to install the fiberglass snorkel it will not fit! It looks to me that the snorkel is meant to fit the 200 horse engine which is wider. I can cut the snorkel and shrink the to pieces back together but I'm sure someone has dealt with this issue.

Thanks

When did you get your FWF kit? Van changed the snorkel at some point. The one I received in Oct 2005 doesn't swing out as wide and attaches to the baffle floor differently than the older style. Didn't need any alterations and fit well. Might be worth your while to just order the newer snorkel.

Buy the new one!

Hi Adam,
You probably have the old version, designed for the wide deck engine. Do yourself a big favour: ditch this piece of junk and buy the new version!
I would have done this gladly but I was too far gone when I noticed that there was a new one
If you still want to modify the old one to fit your engine, you 'll have to cut it in half and re-connect it to fit. Full story on http://websites.expercraft.com/PHVII/index.php?q=log_entry&log_id=9039 and beyond. Good luck!

Adam,
You might find some useful information here:

The RYTON sump will locate the fuel servo in a little bit different location then the aluminum one used by the other engine manufactures.
Good Luck,
