Tanya & I just got back from our no-kidding cross country in the -6. The handheld GPS I borrowed showed 4071nm total for the trip. These were our stops:

As always, I learned a lot & had a great time...and we got to see a friend pilot the Space Shuttle. The turbulence, headwinds & IFR today might have made this Tanya's last trip for a while though. :(

The trip report will be huge & will take a while to put together. We took literally thousands of photos of the trip, so standby for a photo onslaught!

The IFR today was through this (yuck):

Here's the handheld GPS back home after the trip:

Very Impressive

That is a great trip! I've stopped at some of those same airports but not on the same trip.

I'd like to hear more about your trip, like lessons learned along the way.

Leaving CA Tomorrow

Hi Bryan,

Looks like Deb and I will be leaving Ontario tomorrow, headed back to Denver. We won't make Denver for sure due to weather, so I have a couple of options for stops along the way. (VFR only for me)

It was nice to meet you at Rosie's hangar, and it sounds like your trip turned out good. We'll be home for two weeks and then it's off to Florida for work and SNF with the plane.

Checked out your website the other day and I really liked the RC videos. I used to fly pattern competition when I was a juvenile. Maybe next time we're in Rosamond, we can go fly the RCs.

Regards,

Working on the trip report right now! It's going to be huge. I'll post a link when I'm finished.

It was great to meet you too Scott! Sorry I was kinda busy - there's never enough time! If you haven't been to Bryce Canyon NP, stop there (BCE). You can get a rental car at the airport (call ahead) and stay at one of several places just outisde the park gates (Ruby's is probably the best). The park is very cool to see, even if you only spend an hour. Here are some pix I took there last year:
