What is the 'goop' referred to that you put on nuts/bolts to mark them in place after they are torqued? And where can I get some? I have looked around on several websites and asked in two separate hardware stores, and nobody seems to know what I'm talking about.

Thanks.

Torque Seal

You'll probably only find it an airport. Just order the next time you have to order stuff. You can also use nail polish in a pinch.

Torque seal is the brand name, but it's generically called inspection lacquer. Pretty sure its not really lacquer though.

Torque Stripe

Sate and federal agencies often referr to it as 'torque stripe.' Its all the same.

Best,

And you can get it in just about ANY color. I have white, purple, blue, and green. Orange is also a popular choice. My personal favorite is green, but purple is cool as heck too.
