The same guy is listed as the builder (except is says Strober instead of Strobel). Is he saying he did not build it? I assume the registered owner...Larry Strobel...is the guy tring to sell it to you.

You may want to post your question on the socal rv list (not exactly socal but maybe close enough).

I saw this airplane for sale at Chino. It was acquired by the seller thru
an estate sale. The owner had passed away. Not sure if he was the
builder. There may have been a partner involved (not sure). I would
do a title search on the airplane. I don't have any other info than
what I've stated above.
 
It sounds like Larry built the plane but passed away and the plane was sold at an estate sale. I am concerned that the motor has high hours on it and I'm trying to see if it is a good buy. The fact that it was an estate sale would make sense that the logs were lost. I hoping to try and get a estimate on the hours on the motor.
