A while back there was a post that had 90 degree cable lugs in the size for battery hook ups. I can't find the post and have searched. These would come in handy for my install. These are not the bent 90 degrees style but the flat ones with a 90 degree "flag." Somebody referred to them as "Flag" terminals but I can't find them.

FWIW, I googled 'flag terminal connectors #4 awg' & clicked on the first one that looked the part. Try substituting a different wire size, if you need it. If you don't like the supplier, you should be able to use the T&B part number to find it from one of the major suppliers.

Or you could just make your own with a piece of copper tubing, a pair of vise grips, and a drill.

I checked the links provided and they are not quite what I'm looking for. The ones I saw here looked like a conventional lug with a 90 degree flag off the end.

Both of the ones shown are 'flag' fittings. Are you looking for a fitting with the wire leaving the flat at 90 degrees, perpendicular to the flat? I'm not sure what that would even be called. No doubt someone does make them, but I've never seen one. I've always just bent the tab on a regular fitting, or made my own with copper tubing.

That looks functionally identical to the products that Gil & I showed. Is the issue the *length* of the flag extending at right angles to the wire, or do you just not want the wire to be over the bolted area?

edit: Or is it a crimp tool issue? If that's it, just solder it. If solder scares you, have you read Nuckoll's writing on the subject? *All* joints have stress risers, & a crimped joint has one at the edge of the crimp. Any wire should have a support near the connector, regardless of termination method.

2nd edit: Here's one shaped like the drawing, but I wouldn't trust it without solder:

Hi Charlie,

The second link has some that will work. I found the ones like you guys linked in the first couple of posts. The issue is not crimping or soldering. I'm accomplished at both. My normal technique is to crimp and then solder the tang side. Never had a problem.

The issue was getting some distance from the hole and thus the reason for one of that style.

Thanks again. I think those might just work if I can order a few of them and not a 50 pack:)
