Hello!
I'm a recent RV-12 ELSA owner (last August). I have been lurking for a while and reading posts. Appreciate the wealth of knowledge available!
Unfortunately I find myself with my first question. I have almost completed my first condition inspection on the aircraft when I discovered the #3 exhaust tube is cracked right around the joint to the flange. I'm working with Van's (called them today) but I'm also trying to pursue repair options. I found a local shop that says they can make a repair, but they need to know the material.
Would anyone know what material/type of stainless steel that the tubes are made out of? Or alternatively, would anyone know the type of filler rod used for welding it together? This is for the EX-00044 system.
Thanks!
Scott
