Thought the VAF crowd might get a kick out my most recent attempt at painting. My wife and mine's idea of paradise! A grass strip, out in the country on a beautiful fall evening.

For those with sharp eyes, yes that's a high wing aircraft on final *ducking for cover*. When I painted it, we were thinking Bearhawk. Of course, its a constant merry-go-round on the Bearhawk, RV-8 or RV-7.

Custom made frame too, measuring almost 8 feet across.

We like it!!

I shared your post / picture, with my wife, when it all comes together, get a hold of us we would like to see this image in full life.

Let patience have her perfect work that you would be entire lacking nothing!

Greg Koontz has a place a lot like this down in Alabama. I went down there last year and spent a few days with him getting my tailwheel endorsement and some acro instruction. Greg puts you up in his house while you're there and it is a great all around experience.

It definitely fired me up to have something similar one day.
