My wife got me a heat gun a few years ago and recently it began to act odd, so I googled the model number. It was the subject of recall due to fires. I called Wagner although mine was actually a Milwaukee brand. They sent a RTA, and a prepaid UPS label. I sent it back and in a few days a new one arrived. All FREE.

Apparently, the new one has a cool down cycle that blows cool air as a post flow. The old one did not do this.
Google for the recall and see if you are affected.
