I have purchased a set of the new Bose Aviation X series (ANR) headsets.
I'm using 2 x AA rechargable batteries which are 1.2v each where normal AA batteries are 1.5v each.
My problem is in some aircraft (including my new RV7a) every now and again there is a clicking/popping sound, and for the next 5 to 10 seconds until there is another popping sound I can't hear anyone talking though the head set.
This is not good if it does this when a controller is calling you!
The LED flashes green which indicates the battery voltage is still ok. If the voltage drops enough it flashes orange to tell you to replace or charge the batteries.
Has anyone had the same problem?
I have tried another Bose headest and I have tried them in different aircraft and I get this problem in 2 other aircraft.
