I have recently realized that the bolts attaching my FAB to the vertical fuel injection are not saftied. Van's has a service bullitin (96-10-1) that I am not in compliace with.

I took the attaching hardware into the shop to attempt to drill the heads, but after taking as much care as I can muster, I have busted off two bits in the two bolt heads and cannot get them out.

These are 1/4x20 bolts 1/2 inch long. Have others been able to get these with drilled heads and what are good sources? They also discuss using locking tab washers instead of safty wire.
What are good sources of supply for these?

MS20074-04-04, they are 1/2 long once a normal washer is on it.
If that is too long you could get the 04-03

The link below has photos with a 100ths ruler next to the bolt.

I am sure this will help increase your knowledge of what is available.

Have Fun!:)

Which FI do you have? My AFP installation does not need to be safetied because the screws are outside the FAB and can't get sucked into the throttle body in the unlikely event they come loose. Instead, they are held with lock washers and thread-lock.
