Has anyone installed a Vetterman exhaust with mufflers on an RV-8?

I am installing a Vetterman exhaust with dual mufflers on my RV-8 O360. The attach points for the muffler brackets are further aft than the mount points on the traditional Vetterman exhaust. As a result you can not hang the muffler by attaching the brackets to the sump. (engine mount tube in the way). Need to come up with a new way of mounting/hanging the mufflers.

Anyone else out there with a muffler setup on their -8? If so, I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Bryan:

I bought my exhaust system directly from Larry Vetterman. Larry now sells his exhaust system with staight pipes, or with mufflers. Each muffler has a built in heat muff.
