I have seen a few RV's with handles mounted on the rear tube of the windscreen.

Is there any information on how these hold up? Extra stress/cracking of the windscreen?

I see this message in the RV-8 forum.

On my RV-6 they have held up over 26-years and 3,590 flying hours. Mine are welded on and not the bolt on kind that are now being sold. The ones being sold now did not exist when I was building my airplane.
