Help, bought a 696 off of ebay and the XM antenna ID # on the back of the antenna is unreadable for the 2nd and 3rd character.....hence, I can't activate.

Is there any way to identify the ID such as looking at the unit and having it show the antenna ID it is connected to??

Yes, I believe with antenna connected, go to the XM page, Menu, and it's there somewhere.

Got Lucky....Guy called XM and got the number for me.

Proof that 99% of the pilots we deal with out there are first class.

In case anyone else runs across this same problem, you can check out section 5.5 of the GPSmap 696 Manual for information on how to retrieve the XM Radio ID from your GXM receiver.
