Greetings all, I started my IFR training this past week in my 9A and ran into an issue that I would like to solve. I am using the GTR-20 remote comm for both my primary comm and my intercom. Whenever any radio transmissions are received the intercom mutes everything but the incoming transmission. I would like to override that so my instructor and I can continue to communicate and monitor the local frequency. Unfortunately I can't find a setting to allow that. I have sent an email to G3Xpert but I thought if I posted something here maybe somebody else would have the answer and we can all benefit from the response.

Hello Darin,

As I said in my email reply, if you are using the GTR 20's built-in intercom, then you should be able to touch the "Audio" button at the top of the display and find the button for "Radio mutes ICS". This will allow you to control whether or not com radio activity will mute the intercom.
