The Dynon mount comes with a 3 inch threaded aluminum rod. The Garmin servo requires a 3.5 inch. I am looking on Aircraft Spruce for replacement Hardware, but do not see any aluminum equivalent. I do see some 4130 steel stock that is 3/8 x .083 x .209 (03-01600) which has a slightly small ID for tapping so it would require drilling slightly larger. Is 4130 steel a valid substitute for the aluminum?
I also need to remake some aluminum spacers. Van's part number is AT6-058X5/16Xlength. I am not finding anything equivalent on Aircraft Spruce.
I was hoping to find these on ACS because I have many other things to order.
