Hi, sorry if this isn't the right forum, but I didn't find a NAV section..

I've got an RA Miller Nav/GS splitter going somewhere under the subpanel. Right now, my mounting options are pretty limited. Any location available is going to cause the incoming or outgoing antenna cables to do either hard bends or long loops.

The splitter hardly weighs anything, so I was wondering if it's acceptable to just let it hang inline between the NAV antenna cable and the outgoing GS and NAV cables attached to the GNS430W.

Thanks,
-John

John,

I suspect it would be alright to secure it with tie-wraps or something else to existing wire bundles, as long as they are fairly rigid. I would secure all three coax cables that way to make sure they don't flex at the connections.

Wherever you mount it, apply 6 times the weight to it and see if it moves... that would replicate possible flight conditions.
