Trying to put togther the best bang for my buck panel and do not want
to make assumptions.

Will the Sport along with the ARINC interface and a G430W using a
TTDFII VSGV AP be able to fly coupled ILS approaches with vertical
guidance and will it also track a VOR? I am just assuming that it will
definitely do this on the GPS approaches but what about VLOC based
approaches and VOR tracking?

You might need to call GRT on this one----

IIRC, the Sport in a fairly new unit, may not be a lot of experience with it yet.

Won't the TTDFII VSGV AP do this without being connected to an EFIS?

For GPS yes as long as the GPS supports the GPS steering labels on the GPS ARINC lines.

Not the case for VOR, LOC, GS. These require an AP that has the proper analog interfaces or VOR/ILS ARINC interfaces (AP-100 or up). The TTDFII does not have interfaces for analog or VOR/ILS ARINC, only GPS ARINC.

So if you want VOR, LOC, GS tracking ability, you move up to the AP-100 OR some EFIS that transfigures the VOR/ILS ARINC info and spits out the correct GPS steering commands over the GPS ARINC lines to the TTDFII VSGV.

I know the Horizon series does this but the Sport now has new functionality listed on the GRT website compairison page and I want to make sure this is truly the case.

GRT chime in here any time and set us all straight....

Help! I'm being crushed by a BOA (book of acronyms).

It scares me a little that 1/3 of the words were acronyms, and the question made sense to me.
