I'm considering installing Grove wheels and brakes on my 7. Has anyone had good or bad luck with them?

Not yet

I just purchased the grove wheels and brakes for my -8. They look pretty robust. For the price, I really hope they perform as I have read!

I have them on my RV-8.

I bought the double puck type. Compared to my first 8 that had the Cleveland single puck that comes standard with the kit, the braking was noticeably better at heavier weights.

Be aware that you will have to modify the wheel pants as they are bigger.

Love 'em

Been flying with Grove brakes & wheels from day 1 and love them. I installed new brake pads for the 1st time during my annual last year - about 450 hrs.

Recently upgraded my RV9-A, 1027 hrs, to Grove wheels and brakes. Had to modify the wheel fairing brackets to accommodate the slightly larger caliper assembly. There is a very noticeable difference with increased braking power.

I also recommend Groves tubeless nose wheel assembly Part number 59-19-RV for $349.00. This wheel uses the Aero Classic 11/400-5 8 ply tubeless tire from Desser for $47.95.
