I am planning my installation of the single screen GRT EFIS and am wondering if there are any prohibitions about locating the GPS antenna on a tray under the upper cowl? My engine is an Eggenfellner converted H-4 subaru.

GRT Antenna Location

I have four antennas located under the top cowl near the firewall. Two GRT Antennas, and XM Antenna, and a Sirrus Radio antenna. I mounted them on a tray that has a hinge attached to the firewall so I can pull the pin and completly remove the tray and the other end of the try sits on the motor mount (cushioned underneath) and is zip tied to the motor mount.

I have no problem at all with any of the antennas. 220+ hours since first flight on the RV-10.
