I'm running a Sensenich fixed pitch prop.

Aerosport sent me this cover and said with it and the prop line installed, I do not need to puncture the rear crank plug. I do need to plug the front of the crank.

My question is should I trim the gasket a little around this opening.

It would make sense to me, but thought I would check.

Thanks!

You could but it isn't necessary. It will work either way.

I would trim it to match the machining just because it is not backed up on the back side. Oil flow could cause that tab to erode and cause problems.
